人は自然をどのように捉え、関係を構築するか、その意志が建築を生んできた。
水の建築・山の建築・大地の建築
水の惑星である地球。多様な植物が繁茂し、水が絶えず流れていて、数多くの動物の生存を可能にしてきた。海から上がった水蒸気は、山に当たり雨を降らせ、大地を潤す。水は大河になって、海に流れる。川は生物を通して地球の物質循環の重要な担い手になる。そこに人の暮らしが成り立ち、文化が育まれてきた。地質、地勢、空気や水の流れ、植生、生き物の営みなど、自然はあらゆるものと関係し合う。

Architecture of water, of the mountain, of the Earth
Earth is a water planet with water pulsating all over it, allowing a variety of flora and fauna to flourish. Vapor rising from the ocean is stopped at the mountain, causing rain that drenches the Earth. Great rivers are born.They circulate living and inanimate matter globally. As they drain into the ocean, they link forests on the mountain to the ocean. People gather and live by the river. Culture takes root and thrives on its banks. The flow of air and water, topography, geology, vegetation and living beings, all things in Nature are interrelated.
