国内森林資源を活かしカーボンホフセットに取り組んでいる外壁材メーカーのコンペでリフォーム賞をいただく。「形を活かしながら、大きく変えたスケルトン&インフィルの家。親が建てた家、家族に対する思いや気配が残されている。住み継ぐという言葉がふさわしい家である」という審査評。

Blog This house received an award in the Reform Category from its wall cladding manufacturing company, which uses Japanese wood as a form of Carbon offsetting. Jury comment: “The form retained but the space greatly transformed, the spirit of care for family has yet been carried into the next generation in a new context.”



時間の継承をしながら、内部空間は木造の骨組みを生かし、耐震、断熱、大胆な空間改修を行う。調湿性のある自然素材を塗った壁と天井と、香りが残る自然乾燥した杉厚板の床で空間を包む。広がる田園環境と関係をつくる空間が、食、読書、ピアノ、休息、団らん、六人家族の多彩な暮らしの場を包んでいる。かつての暗くて寒い部屋から心地よい空間になり、人がいつも集まっている。

Continuity in time achieved by retaining the original form, the structural framework is reinforced and enhanced, and a well-insulated large family space has been created. Everyday cooking, dining, conversation and playing the piano is thus linked to the open view in the east through large openings and a deck, hoping for better communication, understanding and encouragement through a closely knit family life.
